THE BALL
A rugby ball should be made from 4 separate panels. It should be between 28-30cm in length. It should weigh between 410 and 460 and be able to support air pressure of 9 ½ -10 pounds per square inch.
RUGBY BOOTS AND STUDS.
Wearing the wrong kind of studs can do you or a member of the opposition a lot of harm.
Referees will check whether your boots have any sharp edges or ridges, but it is also your duty to make sure your boots and studs are in good order.
You are now also allowed to play in blades.
GUM SHEILD.
The gum shield not only protects your teeth and gums, it can reduce damage around the jaw and your chances of getting concussed.
THE GOAL POSTS
The distance between the two goal posts is 5.6 metres.
The crossbar is placed between the two goal posts so that its top edge is 3.0 metres from the ground.
The minimum height of the goal posts is 3.4 metres.
When padding is attached to the goal posts the distance from the goal line to the external edge of the padding must not exceed 300mm.
